This two-part workshop, led by David Behrens, a Mindfulness teacher with over 27 years of experience, offers a way to understand and experience Mindfulness to build our vital force, one’s natural healing energy, for holistic health and well-being.
Over the two sessions we will learn Mindfulness techniques to help overcome difficulties in your life and enable you to feel you can move forward with positivity and clarity.
You will learn the Mindfulness techniques of posture, breath and awareness from the origin of the ancient eastern philosophies (Yoga, Buddhism, and Kashmir Shaivism). We will also explore science and psychology through short videos from the world experts of Mindfulness. Included will be a mindfulness practice CD produced specially for this course.
Part 1:
Reconnecting to ourselves – mind, body + breath
– Exploring the synergy of ancient eastern philosophy of meditation with science and psychology of the Mind.
– Learn and practice mindfulness tools of posture in daily life and centring breath techniques
Part 2:
Managing difficulties with the skill of awareness + building a sustained practice
– Learn how to develop resilience and manage difficulties in your day to day life.
– Explore practices to build Awareness, by watching the flow of the mind and how to guide it to the centre for Mental Health and Well-being.
– Learn the building blocks of a sustained home practice of Mindfulness Meditation through the ancient wisdom of the Masters of Meditation.
